BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:45 A.M.) â On Sunday, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, discussed a number of topics in a televised interview, including the latest explosion in Akkar and the fuel crisis.
Commenting on the explosion in Akkar, Nasrallah said that âwhat happened in Akkar imposes itself on all of us,â describing it as âsad news for everyone who heard it in Lebanon or abroad.â
The Hezbollah leader sent his condolences to the people of Akkar, stating that âthe lesson must be taken from what happened to prevent its recurrence in other places,â stressing that âthe incident must constitute a decisive factor for those concerned in order to form a government.â
Nasrallah stated that âa government must be formed as soon as possible, noting that what happened today in Akkar in the town of al-Talil imposes itself on everyone.
Regarding the lifting of fuel subsidies , Nasrallah said, âThe solution is not in sharing responsibility, but in forming a government, and that there are many Lebanese partners responsible,â pointing out that âmost companies monopolize hydrocarbons, and are working to store them to sell on the black market.â
He said, âI confirm that we will definitely bring diesel and gasoline from Iran, and in the next two days I will inform you when,â considering that âwhoever stored and sold fuel on the black market betrayed the trust.â
He also stressed that the âchaos in Lebanon is caused by the Americans from the U.S. embassy, ââand that what is happening today in the country is the same as what is happening in Iraq because there is one room that runs chaos.â
