Iran is taking the money they are getting from a massive jump in oil revenues, and spending it on — say it with me, everybody! — ‘State sponsored terrorism’.
Iran faced heavy sanctions on their energy sector during the Trump years. But once Biden took office and rolled back US energy independence and dropped sanctions on Iran (for various reasons), Iran had revenue again.
With the launch of a war in Afghanistan, oil prices began to soar, and Iran was laughing all the way to the bank. What do they do with that money?
