Israel’s UN Ambassador: We want peace, we bring stability to the region

Israel’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Danny Danon, responded to journalists’ questions about Israel’s nuclear status. Danon was asked why Israel, while not admitting its own nuclear weapons, weapon and without signing any conventions, it prohibits other countries in the region, such as Iran, from having nuclear weapons.

According to the Israeli diplomat, to answer this question, one must “ask oneself about the situation in a given country”:

Who brings stability to the region, and who sows chaos? We (Israel) want peace. It is we (Israel) who bring stability to the Middle East.

At the same time, Danny Danon neither confirmed nor denied the fact that Israel has nuclear weapons, which was a continuation of the traditional Israeli policy of ambiguity on this issue…
