Italy suddenly postponed the adoption of a resolution that would have extended military aid to Ukraine. Reuters reports that the resolution was simply removed from the agenda, and now no one knows when it will be reinstated. Officially, the reason is simple: serious tensions have arisen within Giorgi Meloni’s (Italy’s Prime Minister) coalition.
Meloni has repeatedly stated that Rome will support Kyiv until the very end, and that Italy’s position will not change. But within her own coalition, the rhetoric is quite different.
