‘It’s too late for Philly’ as ‘Zombie Drug’ is wreaking havoc across U.S.

Painfully graphic and sad videos are circulating the internet showing horrifying side effects of what its being called the ‘zombie drug.’ The drug and its “horrifying side effects is ravaging cities across the country” reports the Daily Caller.

According to the FDA, the drug, called Xylazine causes symptoms similar to opioid use, making it difficult to distinguish between users of the two. Xylazine is also known as “tranq” or “zombie drug” makes users feel relaxed and sedated and can cause raw wounds that lead to skin rotting, or “to an even more grisly consequence: amputation.”

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approves Xylazine for use by veterinarians, but not for humans, “meaning that the substance itself is not illegal” writes Daily Caller. Additionally, “the drug took root in Philadelphia before spreading westward to cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles. It was originally used to cut heroin but has recently been found in fentanyl as well.”
