Democratic strategist James Carville launched into a fiery, no-holds-barred criticism of President Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” following its passage Thursday.
The House of Representatives passed Trump’s “big, beautiful” bill by a 218-214 vote after Speaker Mike Johnson rallied conservative holdouts, while Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania joined Democrats to oppose the legislation. In a Thursday episode of the “Politics War Room” podcast, Carville demanded the bill be the focal point for the Democratic Party through 2026.
“We need to continue to talk about it. This has to be the rallying point of the Democratic Party from now to 2026. We don’t need to discuss any divisions in the party. We don’t need to discuss anything. We need to have a unified, totally vigorous, totally relentless, never looking back opposition to this,” Carville said. “I have to say that I think our Democratic representatives in Congress [are] doing a good job…
