In an upset victory, Republican Jeannie LaCroix defeated Democrat Muhammed Sufiyan Casim in a special election for the Woodbridge District seat on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors.
LaCroix, 64, won the deep-blue county-level seat after social media posts by Casim labeled “racist” and “derogatory” resurfaced.
