The left is staggering around trying to mount a resistance to Donald Trump.
And now Jesse Watters just showed why life is going from bad to worse for Democrats.
CBS News’ most recent poll showed 53 percent of Americans approve of the job Donald Trump is doing as President.
That same poll showed 70 percent of Americans say Trump is keeping his campaign promises.
One of Trump’s central promises was unleashing Elon Musk to slash $2 trillion dollars in wasteful government spending.
Musk went to work on day one leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to audit the federal budget.
This is the underbelly of the swamp.
DOGE uncovered nonsensical projects like transgender comic books in Peru, injecting puppies with cocaine, and shoveling money out the door to rappers in Palestine.
Musk also stated that the federal budget was rife with fraud.
The media – seeing Musk and DOGE expose how the left used the federal budget to create a labyrinth of NGOs and government programs to launder money to their activist foot soldiers – pitched a fit.
Jesse Watters mocked the New York Times for claiming there’s no evidence to Musk’s claim of fraud within the federal budget – when days earlier, the paper published a story about how the government loses as much as $521 billion a year thanks to fraud.
“Yesterday, “The Times” reported that the federal government loses between $233 billion to $521 billion a year to fraud. And in the same week, “The Times” writes this headline: Musk asserts without proof that bureaucracy is rife with fraud,” Watters stated.
The media loves attaching the “without proof” qualifier to anything Republicans say even though the New York Times would never say Democrats accused Trump of colluding with Russia “without proof.”
“Without proof “The Times” just reported the proof and it is based on the government’s own accounting. This is why no one trusts the media,” Watters added.
Trump’s deployment of Musk to publicly expose the swamp’s corrupt use of taxpayer money put the media and Democrats on the same side of unelected bureaucrats and federal projects no one can honestly defend.
And that framing puts Trump as the champion of the American taxpayer who’s fighting the crooked establishment – which further allows him to keep his “outsider” aura even though he’s the President.
This is the secret to Trump’s popularity remaining at record levels.
Democrats and their allies in the media are trying to flip the script by claiming Trump is the one empowering unaccountable figures to abuse the public by claiming Elon Musk is the shadow President and that no one voted for Musk or DOGE.
Watters had a simple retort to the latest leftist lie.
And that was simply to point out that no one voted for Fauci – or any of the other public health tyrants that Democrats empowered – to shut down the country, lock down businesses, close schools, and steal Americans freedom during COVID.
“No one voted for Musk, so what? No one voted for Fauci either. You voted for the president and he appoints people. And why are we even having this conversation?” Watters asked…
