President Joe Biden announced Thursday he would level economic sanctions on Russia for invading Ukraine, but not on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
âFor weeks, we have been warning that this would happen, and now, itâs unfolding largely as we predicted,â Biden said during a speech at the White House.
The president was uniquely focused on Putinâs attack against Ukraine, repeating that it was a war of choice by Russia.
âPutin is the aggressor. Putin chose this war and now he and his country will bear the consequences,â he said.
