Conservative Institute ICE agents as well as their Chicago-area facilities have been regularly targeted by mobs of violent demonstrators in recent weeks.
That isn’t President Donald Trump’s only reason to be furious about the Windy City, as a Biden-appointed judge there just handed down a shocking order.
Judge bans ICE from making arrests at courthouse
According to Breitbart, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings has moved to prohibit ICE personnel from making warrantless arrests at courthouses.
What’s more, the federal judge further cautioned that ICE agents will themselves be subject to arrest if they contravene his order.
“The fair administration of justice requires that courts remain open and accessible, and that litigants and witnesses may appear without fear of civil arrest,” Cummings wrote.
“One thing seems clear: ICE rousted American citizens from their apartments during the middle of the night and detained them — in zip ties no less — for far longer than the ‘brief’ period authorized by the operative regulation,” he added.
