Jury Finds Former Police Officer Guilty of Assaulting Cop on Jan. 6

Former New York police officer Thomas Webster was convicted on May 2 on six charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol.

Jurors found Webster, 56, guilty of assaulting law enforcement officers, civil disorder, and engaging in physical violence on Capitol grounds, among other counts.

The most serious charges carry up to 20 years in prison.
