On Thursday, a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous materials derailed just outside Detroit, Michigan in Van Buren Township.
According to the Van Buren Township Police Department, none of the train cars containing hazardous materials were compromised and the area does not require a hazmat team at this time. However, police have requested that people avoid the area and have shut down nearby roads.
Police also reported that there were no injuries from the derailment.
The cause of this derailment is still being investigated.
