An F-35 fighter jet crashed Tuesday at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.
“Watch as Military emergency crews quickly responded after an F-35 fighter jet crashed on the flightline at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska, as reported by a military official to Alaska News. Officials confirmed the pilot was uninjured, though Airman 1st Class Spencer Hanson was unsure if the pilot had ejected before the crash,” Rawsalerts wrote.
“The pilot is safe and was promptly transported to Bassett Army Hospital for further evaluation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The average cost of a new F-35 is approximately $81 million, highlighting the significant loss associated with the incident,” it added.
