Three active duty marines were arrested for taking part in the January 6 protests. Almost 1,000 people have been charged in connection to January 6, including many who have military backgrounds. An FBI investigation aided by Verizon and Facebook resulted in the young men’s arrest. Cpl. Micah Coomer, Sgts. Joshua Abate and Dodge Dale Hellonen are active-duty Marines who are facing charges for allegedly entering the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. They each face multiple charges which include illegal entry and disorderly conduct.
