Headline USA (Mark Pellin, Headline USA) With a potential red wave midterm lurking on the horizon, a panicked Biden administration on Wednesday announced its latest vote-buying ruse, this one offering to help pay utility bills for low- and middle-income households.
Taxpayers, of course, are the ones who will be footing the estimated $4.5 billion tab for Biden’s largesse days before the crucial Nov. 8 midterms election. That hasn’t prevented Biden from claiming credit, similar to his dictum for student loan forgiveness that he announced earlier this year in another shameless attempt to buy votes with other people’s money.
With energy costs projected to explode in large part because of Biden’s aggressive war on the very industries that fuel the country, the administration is trying to game its way out of the problem it created…
Most tax payers are already paying for this through additional charges on our utility bills. Mandatory charity to help pay bills for those who can’t. I called and they said I Had to pay it and I couldn’t write it off as a charitable contribution. And lets not forget the additional “green energy” fee. Oh there is “infrastructure” on that and “cost recovery? WTF? The fees and taxes are more than my actual energy usage.
