Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. refused to attack Donald Trump and thanked the former president for calling him a “common-sense guy” during a town hall hosted by News Nation.
When asked by moderator Elizabeth Vargas what he thinks of Trump, Kennedy refused to attack the former president despite the Democratic Party’s overwhelmingly negative view. “Here’s what I’m not going to do in this race. I’m not going to attack other people personally. What I’m trying to do in this race is being people together,” Kennedy said.
He later went a step further and thanked the Trump for recent kind words. “I’m proud that President Trump likes me,” Kennedy said.
