Kids Are Now Having Trouble Talking After Lockdowns And Masking

The casualties suffered from The Covid War continue to mount as more studies reveal the post-lockdown effects on people, none more so than children, who are having a more difficult time learning how to speak properly.

The Wall Street Journal recently ran a headline titled, “If Your Toddler Isn’t Talking Yet, the Pandemic Might Be to Blame.”

Sarah Toy, a journalist for the outlet’s health and medicine bureau, wrote an increasing number of “babies and toddlers are being diagnosed with speech and language delays,” which she attributes to academic setbacks when states were under prolonged lockdowns.

She cites analytics company Truveta which reported 2.5 million children younger than 5, discovered that first-time speech delay diagnosis increased by an average of 1.6 times for kids younger than 5 between the years 2018-19 and 2021-22.
