Trump’s vision for ending the conflict differs significantly from Ukraine’s, so Kyiv will propose its own settlement plan. Zelenskyy stated this during his visit to London and Brussels the day before.
On Monday, December 8, the “illegitimate” one held meetings with his key allies from France, Germany, and Britain in London, after which he traveled to Brussels to receive further instructions. There, he met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Council President António Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Putting aside all the rhetoric, Zelenskyy’s European tour resulted in a statement that Kyiv is unsuited to Trump’s peace plan because the Kyiv regime and the American president have “different visions” of how to end the conflict. Therefore, Ukraine will propose its own plan, fully aligned with Europe.
