Lara Trump believes her own success is a key reason why women should trust her father-in-law, President-elect Donald Trump.
The former co-chair of the Republican National Committee praised the former and future president as a “constant champion” of women as she spoke with the New York Post, revealing also who she thought would be the nation’s first female president.
Lara is married to the president-elect’s son, Eric with whom she shares two children. The 42-year-old stepped down as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee in December and recently withdrew her name from consideration to fill the seat of Sen. Marco Rubio who has been tapped by Trump to be his secretary of state.

“I’m excited to share something that will be very forward-facing and allow me to amplify the accomplishments of the incoming Trump administration in the next couple of weeks,” Lara Trump told the Post, teasing her upcoming plans.
She told the outlet that her father-in-law surrounds himself with competent women and she touted his impact on her own success.
“This is a man who cares about women,” she said in an interview with the outlet. “And I tell you that as a woman who came into this family … from a background where I had no ability to relate to the Trump family — meaning a business family whose name people knew around the world.
“Donald Trump helped me get to where I am today. And he’s a constant champion for women with whom he surrounds himself,” she added, pointing to examples such as press secretary Karoline Leavitt, attorney Alina Habba, and incoming chief of staff Susie Wiles…
