If this is the best she has to put up against Donald Trump, Fauxcohontas should just drop out of the 2020 race

(TNS) President Donald Trump is fast becoming the most investigated president in the history of our republic, but should he lose to Sen. Elizabeth Warren this fall (cough, cough) the probes, they will go on.

Warren’s flagging 2020 Democratic presidential campaign released a new plan on Monday in which she promised to create a new Justice Department “task force” to investigate what are nothing more than Trump’s policies on issues like immigration.

The National Review reported:

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) unveiled a new campaign plan Tuesday that calls for the creation of a Justice Department task force to investigate and prosecute corruption and immigration “violations” committed by the Trump administration.

In her “Restoring Integrity and Competence to Government after Trump” plan, Warren states that “Donald Trump has run the most corrupt administration in history,” and that she will attempt to lessen his influence by “wiping the slate clean” of his appointments.

“If we are to move forward to restore public confidence in government and deter future wrongdoing, we cannot simply sweep this corruption under the rug in a new administration,” Warren explains.

She noted further that her precious task force would probe whether Trump officials broke any “federal bribery laws, insider trading laws, and other anti-corruption and public integrity laws” during their time in office. And she proposed another task force to investigate possible violations of law committed in the course of enacting the Trump administration’s immigration agenda.

“I have also committed to establishing a task force to investigate accusations of serious violations by immigration officials during the Trump era,” she said, adding that she would only appoint a Secretary of Homeland Security — who oversees immigration policy —  who is “committed to undoing the damage caused by the Trump administration and who believes that immigration makes our country stronger, not weaker.”

So in other words, being investigated round-the-clock while he is in office isn’t good enough; Warren is pledging to continue investigating President Trump and his Cabinet officials after they leave as well.

This Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real thing, obviously.

Here’s another takeaway: Only Democrat presidents are permitted to form their own governments using people they trust and want to appoint into positions of power, not Republicans and certainly not Donald Trump. Because he’s corrupt, or something like that.

The fact is, despite one investigation after another, no one — not the Southern District of New York, not Robert Mueller, not James Comey — has been able to find one scintilla of evidence that Trump has broken any laws, let alone preside over a “corrupt” administration.

In fact, President Trump may well be the most honest president we’ve had since George Washington.
