Trump administration officials launched sharp criticism against CNN Monday following the network’s coverage of a new mobile application designed to help illegal immigrants avoid detection by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Stephen Miller, President Donald Trump’s deputy chief of staff and longtime immigration advisor, accused the cable news network of crossing legal boundaries with its reporting on the app.

Miller characterized CNN’s coverage as “openly helping invaders and insurrectionists sabotage ICE” in a statement posted on social media platform X.

The controversy centers around CNN’s Monday segment highlighting a new software application that functions as an early warning system for ICE operations.
