Major Airlines Will Fine Passengers $70 For Unbuckling Seatbelts And Standing In Aisle

Airline passengers in Turkey will now receive a $70 fine for unbuckling their seatbelts and occupying an aisle before their plane has fully stopped.

The Turkish government established the new rule and applies to all major airlines operating in Turkey.

The Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation said, “Please respect the disembarkation priority of the passengers in front of or around you and wait for your turn.”

The rule, however, has no effect outside of Turkey, and Turkish Airlines and other major airline companies from Turkey do not have to abide by the law in other nations…
