We recently saw that among the leftists who have developed a “strange new respect” for retiring Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14), dubbed “Marjorie Traitor Green” by President Trump, and also called “Crazy Pants” by Democrat Sen. John Fetterman, were the professional Capitol Hill protestors known as Code Pink (CP). CP was founded and is led by women named Medea Benjamin and Jodie Evans.
Medea Benjamin and I go back a long time, and she knows me well, and doesn’t care for me, at all.
Medea Benjamin is not really named “Medea.” Her real name is Susan, but she has chosen Medea instead. Which is strange – Medea was the witchy wife of Jason of the Argonauts fame, who in Greek mythology killed her brother, betrayed her father for Jason, only to later be abandoned by Jason and, to punish him, slew their own children.
The mythical Medea is not the type of upstanding person a normal person would want to emulate, is she?
When I joined the staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee (SJC) in 2005, Medea and CP were already protesting at our hearings. Back then, everything was about President George W. Bush and the War on Terror (i.e., Islamic Extremism). CP was pushing the left-wing talking points that Bush was a “Hitler” and a “dictator” and that the “evil” U.S. forces were running around the world snagging innocent goat herders and shipping them off to Guantanamo to be tortured.
