Senator Dick Durbin came under fire from Senator Marsha Blackburn on Thursday for reportedly thwarting her attempt to submit a subpoena for the flight logs of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Blackburn accused Democrats of âhidingâ something.

As the chair of the Democrat-led Senate Judiciary Committee, Durbin (D-Ill.) has authority over the panelâs subpoena power.

In early November, Blackburn made the first attempt to subpoena the flight logs, requesting further details on the individuals who took and frequented Epsteinâs plane to his exclusive island and other destinations, where he provided illicit sex with minors working as prostitutes.
The aircraft was named âLolita Express,â referencing Vladimir Nabokovâs 1955 novel âLolitaâ which is about a 37-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl consumed in a pedophilic relationship. The aircraftâs name also exemplifies that Epstein and his constituents had no qualms regarding their misconduct.
