Just before I saw this speech, I watched a clip posted by a friend of mine showing two wild-eyed young Americans completely held in the grip of fear. Why? — Because they had become convinced that if President Trump wins the election, they wouldn’t be able to get tattoos, body piercings, or live the way they want to live. They literally said that President Trump wouldn’t let them LOOK the way they wanted to look.
The fact is, fear is a motivating force almost without equal. I came away from that video even more convinced than I was before that we are unfortunately a nation filled with sheep, easily maneuvered either here or there, and all you have to do is play to their pre-existing fears to control them.
Enter Michelle Obama. Yesterday she gave a campaign speech for Kamala in Michigan, and her entire performance was a masterclass in fear-inducing scare tactics. In a nutshell — how dare the men in this country not vote for Kamala (that line is getting old) because if President Trump wins… everything those girls were petrified of in the clip I saw will come true — and more. Watch:
