A neutral interface device has begun to go viral online, one that is touted as being able to essentially allow people to communicate with machines and other devices by simply articulating that in thought.
Arnav Kapur, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), created this AI-powered device in 2018 called “AlterEgo.” According to him and MIT, the device is touted as a non-invasive, wearable, peripheral neural interface that allows users to “converse in natural language with machines, artificial intelligence (AI) assistants, services, and other people without any voice—without opening their mouth, and without externally observable movements—simply by articulating words internally.”
The device has recently gone viral once again, according to Forbes India, describes how the interface is placed around the person’s ear and is able to answer tough questions like “the largest city in Bulgaria and its population” in a snap of the fingers. The neural interface was able to read Kapur’s mind as he was demonstrating it, and then found the answer by accessing Google without him saying and or doing anything…
