MLB Team Philadelphia Phillies To Introduce ‘Voluntary’ Facial Recognition To Enter Stadium

Major League Baseball (MLB) team the Philadelphia Phillies announced that they will be allowing patrons to now provide their faces in place of physical tickets to enter the stadium.

First reported by NBC Sports Philadelphiastarting August 21st, Citizens Bank Park will become the first MLB stadium to install the MLB’s “Go-Ahead Entry” terminals.

‘Any fans who have completed registration for the program on the MLB Ballpark app, which includes a facial scan, can walk through and have their tickets automatically scanned. The team calls it “the ultimate hands-free, free-flow experience,”’ NBC reported.
