A surge in illegal border crossings over the weekend saw an average of 2,460 encounters per day with US Border Control, mostly in downtown El Paso, Texas.
Footage from the area posted to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon by Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin showed a “huge line of hundreds of migrants who have crossed illegally into the US [who] are waiting to be taken into Border Patrol custody.”
“Most expect to be released into the US. Many will be. CBP & local shelters overcapacity,” Melugin added…
