ViAqua Therapeutics is developing a orally administered encapsuled solution that utilizes mRNA tech, the same ingredients used in the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines, that is designed to prevent White Spot Virus (WSSV); a deadly viral infection that plagues shrimp populations, costing an annual loss of around $3 billion and a 15% reduction in global shrimp production.
The company plans to begin production of their new treatment in India by 2024.
