Recent political allies Elon Musk and President Donald Trump have been engaged in an escalating war of words over the past several days, and people around the world are picking sides.
One notable commentator was Errol Musk, the Tesla CEO’s father, who offered a somewhat surprising take on his son’s brewing rivalry with the commander-in-chief.
During a recent interview, the elder Musk put his faith behind Trump and expressed a desire that Elon Musk would bury the hatchet.
In the end, he said that “Trump, of course, will prevail” because the president has the support of the American people behind him.
As Breitbart reported:
Musk said, “It seems a bit silly to me.”
Host Tom Burges Watson said, “Do you think this is a bump in the road, or do you think this is the end of the road for the relationship between your son and Mr. Trump?”
Musk said, “Just a bump in the road. It will fizzle out in a few days.”
