American Wire News Louisiana Republican Mike Johnson was finally elected to take the House gavel and video soon surfaced of the time he reacted to the “unlawful” actions of his Democratic predecessor, Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
After three weeks without a speaker in the House of Representatives, Johnson was voted in by every single Republican, giving him 220 votes. The congressman serves on the Judiciary Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and the select committee on “Weaponization of the Federal Government.”
“Johnson’s voting record has earned him a lifetime rating of 92% from the American Conservative Union and 90% from Heritage Action,” noted NBC News on Wednesday.
