New survey shows societal danger signs: Most younger Americans care less about patriotism, God, and kids

By Jon Dougherty

(NationalSentinel) If the results of a new NBC/Wall Street Journal survey are any indication, American society is becoming less American, and that won’t bode well for any of us when U.S. primacy in the world is seriously challenged at some point in the future.

According to the survey, most Millennials are not patriotic, have no faith in God, and couldn’t care less about having children — all of which are attitudes that differ substantially from those of older Americans.

“Some 61% in the new survey cited patriotism as very important to them, down 9 percentage points from 1998, while 50% cited religion, down 12 points. Some 43% placed a high value on having children, down 16 points from 1998,” the survey noted.
