The Democratic Party has a notoriously shallow bench of candidates ahead of the next presidential election cycle, but Barack Obama remains one of the few figures on the left who’s still relatively popular across the party’s base.

His former White House chief of staff seems to be hoping he can siphon off some of that good will and launch of campaign of his own in a few years.

Rahm Emanuel addressed his presidential ambitions during a recent episode of ABC’s “The View.”
