Former NFL quarterback and Hall of Famer Brett Favre is calling for a boycott of Fox News after its firing of popular conservative host Tucker Carlson.
It has been reported that Fox News executives are trying to keep Carlson sidelined during the 2024 presidential election as the former host tries to negotiate an exit package.
According to Matthew Boyle from Breitbart News, Tucker is under contract until January 2025, and “they’re not allowing him to go out there and do something else.”
“They refuse to release him from the contract and negotiate an exit at this time,” Boyle reported. “The Murdoch family is trying to keep him silent.”
Favre, a three-time NFL MVP, posted a statement on Monday in support of Carlson. On Twitter he wrote, “I’m with Tucker. Time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak.”
