Norwegian intelligence: Russian ships went to sea with nuclear weapons for the first time in 30 years

The Norwegian Intelligence Service (NIS) announced in its annual report that Russia’s Northern Fleet has gone to sea for the first time in 30 years with tactical nuclear weapons on board its ships.

According to the report of APA referring to “news.ru”, the service noted that this practice was stopped after the end of the “Cold War”, although this happened regularly during the Soviet era.

NIS states that nuclear weapons pose a particularly serious threat during operations in which NATO countries may participate.
