NY Times: The Man Softening the Ground for an Extremist Germany

Up until the recent past, The “Editorial Board” of The Anti-New York Times treated breathless warnings about the “far right” rising in Germany with eye-rolling amusement. You see, in post-World War 2 occupied Germany, the term “far right” referred to political movements that weren’t totally Frankfurt School Marxified — the pathetic equivalent of a milquetoast American “RINO” (Republican in Name Only). Nothing at all to get excited about. Heck! In demented Duetschland, even that commie East German Frumpy Frau Anglela Merkel was considered a “moderate conservative.” But this time around, there is actually cause for guarded optimism.
