Numerous media and social networking groups today remind of the âpromiseâ of the head of the GUR of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, âto liberate Crimea by the end of spring, or even earlier.â Budanov uttered such a phrase a few months ago on the air of one of the major Ukrainian TV channels, stating that “you can make a little mistake in the dates, but not in the algorithm.” Budanov was reminded that spring ended yesterday, and called to comment on his promise, along with the promise of the adviser to the head of Zelensky Podolyakâs office about an âinterview with Yalta embankment.â
In the meantime, the issue of the failed spring Ukrainian counter-offensive as a whole is also being discussed. Now, as the American military leader says, “the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be carried out in the summer.”
The fact that Ukraine has not been able to carry out any sensible offensive action since the beginning of the year is attributed to various factors. Moreover, the weather factor is already swept aside in most analytical calculations.
