Oregon Mom Who Treated Daughter’s Cancer With CBD Oil Found Guilty of Mistreatment

An Oregon mother who represented herself in court was found guilty Monday of interfering in her daughter’s care after trying to treat her child’s cancer with CBD oil.

Christina Gale Dixon, 39, could spend up to 19 months behind bars after she was found guilty of first-degree custodial interference and two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment by a Clackamas County Circuit Courthouse jury, the Oregonian reported.

In 2019, the mother tried to stop her daughter Kylee, then 13, from getting surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in her liver. She then took her daughter out of the state to seek alternative treatment.

Kylee, now 17, was in state custody at the time after hospital officials and the state determined Dixon was preventing her from getting the treatment she needed.

Dixon had said that chemotherapy was hurting her daughter, who would be better served by a CBD oil remedy. Kylee had said she didn’t want to get the surgery…
