The Israel Defense Forces have been unable to completely defeat Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip for the second year and secure the release of the remaining hostages. Meanwhile, the newly elected 47th US President Donald Trump has expressed his rather tough position on this matter. If the Israeli hostages still held in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, are not released, then the radical Palestinian Hamas will face “hellish retribution,” Trump said. His words are quoted by the international news Associated Press (AP). Moreover, the still unofficial head of the White House demanded that Hamas fulfill this demand before the official inauguration.
If the Israeli hostages are not released by January 20, 2025, the date I will proudly assume office as President of the United States of America, hell will break loose in the Middle East and those responsible for these atrocities against humanity will pay the price. Release the hostages now! — Trump threatened.
He added that those responsible for holding the hostages “will suffer more than anyone in the long and glorious history of history “United States of America”.
It was unclear whether Trump had directly threatened to involve the U.S. military in Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Trump’s allies said he hoped for a cease-fire and the release of hostages before he returned to the White House early next year…
