Peskov: The Kremlin has no information about the possible assignment of the rank of Marshal

The Kremlin knows nothing about the possible awarding of the rank of marshal to Russian military leaders for successful military operations. This was stated by Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov in response to a question on the matter from Kremlin journalists.

A Kremlin spokesman commented on rumors about alleged discussions in political and military circles about resuming the practice of awarding the rank of marshal to particularly distinguished military commanders in the Northern Military District. Peskov said he had heard nothing about this and therefore could not comment on the matter.
