Pfizer Board Member Thinks Covid Vax Will Become ‘Annualized’ Indefinitely, Encourages Viewers To Take Booster

“I would go out and get the booster now with the expectation that you’re probably going to get another dose heading into the fall,” Pfizer board member Scott Gottlieb tells CNBC viewers.

An ex-FDA commissioner who currently serves on Pfizer’s Board of Directors expressed his belief that taking Covid vaccines may become an “annualized” event that continues indefinitely for many Americans.

“Look, I think this is gonna be an annual vaccine,” said Gottlieb, who served as FDA commissioner from 2017 to 2019. “We’re gonna get away from the lexicon of calling these subsequent doses ‘boosters’ and this will settle into an annual pattern.”

The Pfizer board member went on to note that Moderna and Pfizer are both developing new vaccines specifically designed for the Omicron variant, which may be available for purchase by the U.S. government and medical facilities in the fall of 2022.
