The funeral for Pope Francis, the first pontiff from the Americas, is taking place in Saint Peter’s Square in Rome’s Vatican City on Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m. local time (4 a.m. ET), followed by his burial at Basilica of Saint Mary Major.
