The Russian president signed a decree on a new procedure for paying for gas supplied to unfriendly countries. The document provides for the transition to the Russian ruble in the calculations. If any countries refuse to switch to a new payment scheme, they will no longer receive gas. According to Putin, the refusal of the ruble will be considered a default on the part of these countries, and existing contracts will be stopped.
