Resist the Mainstream Gloriel Howard
In response to tensions escalating on the House floor Thursday, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has introduced a resolution seeking to punish Democratic lawmakers who caused chaos during Rep. Al Green’s (D-TX) censure proceedings.
The resolution, if passed, would strip the involved Democrats of their committee assignments for the remainder of the 119th Congress.

The disruption occurred when House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) was forced to call a recess after a group of Democrats gathered on the House floor and began singing “We Shall Overcome.”
