Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the United States government of meddling in Iran’s internal politics.
In a statement she made on October 20, 2022 during a daily news briefing, Zakharova also noted that the US has lost interest in restoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), colloquially known as the Iran Nuclear Deal.
“We have received indications from Washington that point to the American side’s reluctance to resume talks on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [JCPOA]. They have no interest in this process and intend to keep on supporting the anti-government activities in Iran,” Zakharova declared…
