KYIV: Ever since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a military invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces have launched a devastating air, land and sea attack on the Eastern European country. Russian forces are bombing various city centers and closing in on the capital, Kiev, triggering a mass exodus of refugees.
Interestingly, for months, Putin denied that he would invade Ukraine – a European democracy of 44 million people. But he later broke the peace deal and left what he called “Putin’s war” in Germany, with troops pouring into the north, east and south of Ukraine.
As the death toll rises, Russia’s leader is accused of disturbing peace in Europe. The Russia-Ukraine war has entered its ninth day today and no one knows when it will end and what Putin’s ultimate goals are and how he plans to achieve them.
What is Putin’s plan?
