Scores of rockets rained down on southern Israel yesterday from the Gaza Strip, triggering warnings from the Israeli Defense Force and leaders of The Jewish State.
Following the firing of 36 rockets from the Gaza Strip overnight Friday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said to prepare for âany scenarioâ from the Gaza Strip, reported Yeshiva News.
Another rocket was fired on Motzei Shabbos, triggering sirens in Sderot and nearby communities. The projectile was intercepted by the Iron Dome.
The escalation overnight Friday night was the most serious cross-border attack from the Strip in months, with sirens blaring in numerous southern communities, sending residents running to bomb shelters. Fortunately, no injuries were reported but the rockets caused damage in a number of areas.

The IDF is preparing for a possible escalation of the situation in the Gaza Strip, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kohavi said on Sunday, reported The Jerusalem Post.
âIn recent days, we are facing violent events in several locations in the Palestinian front, and we are acting to restore the stability and the peace to the communities of the south,â Kohavi said.
âAt the same time, we are preparing in full to a possibility of an escalation or expanding the campaign, and we are dealing with the necessary preparations.
