Seattle’s Marxist city council member Kshama Sawant is trailing behind in the Recall Election after Tuesday night’s results narrowly show more residents in favor of recalling Sawant than allowing the controversial city council member to retain her seat.
Although too close to call, preliminary results from election night show 53 percent have voted to recall Sawant. She now trials behind by a mere 7 percentage points, a margin that Sawant has overtaken in the past.
