Sheriff changes how deputies patrol due to gas prices; some calls to be handled by phone

ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN) — The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan is shifting gears on how deputies patrol after record-high gas prices create a budget dilemma.

Sheriff Michael Main explained the situation in a Facebook post this week.

The sheriff wrote that the fuel budget has been exhausted with the gas price increases, prompting changes in patrols.
