DC Enquirer Following the raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home last Monday, many swooped in to provide their take on this federal provocation, that seemingly came out of nowhere.
Andrew Cuomo, Andrew Yang, and many other political elites on the left reportedly weighed in with their dismay — about the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI’s) incursion into Trump’s home.
Many viewed the stunt as a political weaponization of federal agencies to demonize a political opponent, hoping he won’t run come 2024. Even Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), a long-time rival of Trump, displayed utter confusion regarding why the FBI waited until now to execute a search warrant.
On Sunday, in an interview on Face the Nation, Margaret Brennan essentially asked Congressman Schiff why: “if this was truly the ‘national security’ issue they are trying to portray it as now, why did they wait 18 months?”
Schiff replied: “Uh, I don’t know.”
He then followed up his response by outlining how, “if the Trump people represented that they provided all the classified or national security information and didn’t, that’s a serious problem.”
